Beating the heat - New air-conditioners cool down Boys & Girls Club gymnasium Jul 2, 2006

At the Florence A. DeGeorge Boys & Girls Club, which opened on 2001 in Davie, did not have much money in its budget to install a new air conditioner in the 7,500-square-foot gym. But thanks to a wide-ranging community effort, two 15-ton rooftop air-conditioning units were installed and will begin cooling the gym by mid-July.
