Pompano agrees to help fund programs - Boys & Girls Club tops list at $87,000

City Commissioners recently agreed on a plan to inject thousands of dollars into programs that help disadvantaged children, senior citizens, the hard of hearing and expectant mothers. The largest amount of funding, $87,000 will go to Stephanis Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. The announcement was made on July 19, 2006, during the first day of workshops held to discuss the proposed budget for 2007 fiscal year.
