Seventy-eight volunteers, including Panthers CEO and BGCBC Board Member, Matthew Caldwell, attended and participated in various improvement projects such as trimming and cleaning up the brush and trees around the basketball court, building new picnic tables and they even built a giant Jenga game for the kids to play!

Many of our member families were affected, left without power, unable to work and in some cases lost just about everything. Broward Sheriff’s Office Helps More Members Attend Clubs Afterschool

Date: October 4, 2017
Club members are back to school and this year, thanks to generous funding from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF), BGCBC will be able to provide additional bus transportation for members from their schools to the Clubs afterschool. Research shows that the greatest proportion of juvenile crime has been found to occur on school days between 3:00-7:00 pm, the hours immediately afterschool (Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention). The Sheriff’s investment into the Transportation Program guarantees that more youth will get safely to their Clubs afterschool each day.
