As the summer approaches, many of our youth will feel isolated, alone and be more susceptible.  More and more kids will find themselves unsupervised with little to no structured activities or positive role models in their lives.

Many of our youth will feel isolated, alone and more susceptible to the dangers and negative influences of the street. Negative behaviors include the use of alcohol and drugs, premature sexual activities or possibly the involvement of gang activities.

  • 3 Core Program Areas: Academic Success, Citizenship & Leadership and Healthy Lifestyles
  • Over 12,000 youth ( ages 6 – 18 yrs of age) enrolled in our programs this past year.
  • 12 Boys & Girls Clubs facilities in Broward County
  • 56% of our members' families earn less than $20,000 annually
  • 57% live in a single family home
  • 69% of our members qualify for Free or Reduced School Lunch
  • 93% of our members attend Title 1 schools

WHY THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF BROWARD COUNTY?

  • Over 400,000 Healthy Snacks and Dinners (free) were served this past year
  • 92% of our members who attended a Club 52 times a year or more progressed to the next Grade Level.
  • 98% of Senior Members graduated from High School
  • 65% of our Senior Members are enrolled in College
Kids this summer participate in locally developed programs, such as : Culinary Arts, Media Arts, Boat Building & Design, Motorcycle Restoration, Construction, Aviation, SAT Preparatory Courses along with College & Career Exploration days.
