The nationally recognized Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County Swim Academy is once again offering lessons in swimming and other pool-related techniques this summer. In addition, there will be a Jr. Lifeguard Program where members can become certified lifeguards/instructors and swim safety ambassadors. The Jr. Lifeguard Program is sponsored by Baptist Health South Florida.
The primary purpose of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County is to teach students, age 6-18, the fundamentals of swimming and water safety. Swim classes range from beginner to advanced levels. Students will be allowed to progress at their own pace with professional teachers, but they will not be held back if their skills allow them to progress faster regardless of age.
Classes are taught at the Carver Ranches Unit in West Park and at the Levine/Slaughter Unit in North Lauderdale.
