Thirteen (13) Club members from the Thomas D. Stephanis Boys & Girls Club of Broward County traveled to the Frost Science Museum in Miami for an incredible field trip on March 28. Members enjoyed the 250-seat planetarium that uses 16-million-color 8K projection, surround sound and a vast dome screen that took them on a dazzling visual trip to outer space, as well as the three-level Aquarium that showcases South Florida’s crucial aquatic ecosystems and beyond. After lunch, Club members enjoyed petting sting rays and seeing baby alligators. “It was so cool to see the different bodies of water and how the animals were so different in each environment,” said Brianna, 12.
The highlight of the museum was the 31-foot Oculus Lens where members were able to see sharks and tuna.
