Gameroom SUPERVISOR

The Gameroom Supervisor is responsible for conducting a varied and exciting program, giving informal guidance to members, and maintaining a good atmosphere in the gameroom.
  • Must have the ability to plan and know how to conduct games and activities.
  • Must be able to enforce Boys & Girls Club Rules and Policies in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, implement and run recreational programs for children.
  • Needs to be energetic enthusiastic and creative.
  • Must be a positive mentor and of good moral character.
  • Part time, Monday to Friday, 3pm to 8pm, may be asked to work rotating Saturdays.

Needs to be highly energetic, enthusiastic, and creative.
Must be able to multi task and display superior interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work with groups.
Must exhibit high level of maturity and ability to maintain self-control when dealing with members.
College level education preferred but not required. Must pass our pre-employment screening

MEDIA LAB INSTRUCTOR

Primary Responsibilities and Essential duties Include:
  • Teach the creative aspects of music production and recording including vocal recording techniques, songwriting, performance, etc.
  • Direct, edit, and oversee the production of bi-monthly sketch comedy and music video show allowing the members creative freedom to film music videos and comedy skits
  • Encourage development of basic skills, knowledge and interest in industry.
  • Create, plan and implement a learning plan for technical and artistic aspects of program.
  • See that all materials and equipment are properly cared for.
  • Develop a positive relationship with members.
  • Request needed materials in writing.
  • Assist with other Boys & Girls Club activities and events as assigned.
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in related field, have a minimum of one year experience working with children in a youth development setting, and three years’ experience in a studio or other media industry position.

EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR

Must have ability to assist in encouraging members to advance their education using computers and traditional educational methods for members ages 6-18 in a classroom setting.
Part time position M-F, 3p – 8p, rotating Saturdays 11a – 3p, non-school days from 9a – 5p.
 
Primary Responsibilities and Essential duties Include: 
  • Conduct for members using computers and other educational tools as needed.
  • Open library for more informal uses when classes are not in session.
  • Encourage development of basic skills and participate in other programs offered
  • Plan the Education Program on a weekly basis.
  • Care for materials and equipment, use displays to encourage participation and learning
  • Develop a positive relationship with members and evaluate progress.
  • Contact member’s regular teachers if needed to discuss progress and needs.
Needs to be highly energetic, enthusiastic, and creative.
Must be able to multi task and display superior interpersonal skills
Must be able to work with groups
Must exhibit high level of maturity and ability to maintain self-control when dealing with members
College level education preferred but not required.
