GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Maintenance Generalist will follow the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor in completing work orders and assuring the assigned Clubs are in proper working order with minimum disruption to the flow of staff and Club members while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
All building-related repairs and/or maintenance, including but not limited to:
· Plumbing: Repair fixtures, faucets, shut off valves, drainage, etc.
· Electrical: replace light bulbs, ballasts, back-up batteries and repair fan fixtures, light fixtures, switches, and receptacles, etc.
· Carpentry: build and repair wall framing, door hanging and sheetrock installations, rough to finish including repairs to partitions, cabinets, platforms, tables, and all game tables, etc.
· Glazing: Minor glass and window repairs
· HVAC: Basic A/C repairs and maintenance
· Installation and replacement of ceiling and floor tiles.
· Wall repair: including plaster, sand, and paint.
· Irrigation System: repair ruptured sprinkler lines, replace damaged spray heads and reset sprinkler timer and programming as needed
· Locksmithing; repair and replace door locks, door handles, hydraulic door closers, and door hardware, etc.
· Warehouse: moving, storage, and inventory tracking, including the upkeep of the maintenance shop area.
· Automotive: Minor van repair and maintenance
JOB SEGMENTS:
· Keep detailed records of work orders and daily activities in a daily log.
· Document and report potential safety hazards and report to supervisor.
· Perform monthly inspections of Clubs and report building-related discrepancies to supervisor in writing.
· Order parts or materials when authorized and requested to do so by supervisor.
· Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
· Perform all other duties assigned or needed.
· Must be willing to assist in fundraising and club special events and adjust your schedule accordingly.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS ETC:
- Position requires a high school diploma/GED or completion of military service with honorable discharge.
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
- Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience working and repair experience in all building trades at an intermediate level or above, to include Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, wall, and floor repairs.
- Verifiable building trades work experience of five (5) or more years, certifications appropriate to the skills.
- Must by highly motivated and able to work independently.

High energy level, and comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, heavier weight necessary at times. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Skills essential for successful communications include good listening, speaking, and writing skills. Must have ability to get along with diverse personalities; at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility, good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
