31ST ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) hosted the 31st Annual Golf Classic on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the exclusive Woodlands Country Club in Fort Lauderdale.  Founded by brothers Bill & Gary Rotella in 1987, the Annual Golf Classic is known as the longest running and finest charitable golf scramble event in Florida.

The tournament kicked off with registration and brunch with live entertainment by Steel Away. A shotgun start teed off 42 foursomes on the east and west courses. The golfers enjoyed on course refreshments, snacks, wings provided by Hooters and entertainment by Mike Betters.  After the tournament, guests enjoyed refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, guitarist Mike Corbin, and a lavish buffet dinner featuring silent & live auctions and awards presentations.

The first place winners on the East Course were Daniel Hotte, Jack Melnicoff, Michael Hotte and Jamey Copley (top right). The first place winners on the West Course were Michael Murray, Joe LaRocca Jr., Angelo Marzano and Nick LaRocca (top left).

The 31st Annual Golf Classic was graciously supported by Jonathan DeLuca, Leo Goodwin Foundation, Ed Morse Automotive Group, Michele Cousin & Tommy Hartmann, Publix Charities, Deborah & Gary Wendt, Dr. Allen Blosser, Betolli Vending, Echion Development, Guardian Life Insurance Company, Lincoln Financial, Northwestern Mutual, The Lagomarsino Foundation, Castle Group and The McDonald Family Foundation. All the proceeds benefit the Levine/Slaughter Boys & Girls Club in North Lauderdale.
