3RD ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

Our annual Back to School Supply Drive gets bigger and better each year thanks to the help of all Rick Case Automotive Group dealerships, Cox Media’s Easy 93.1, Office Depot, Pembroke Lakes Mall, JC Penney, California Pizza Kitchen, Team National and others.  For six weeks, these partners encouraged their customers to make and drop off donations.  Office Depot made a generous contribution of $10,000 and California Pizza Kitchen donated 20% of sales for a whole week.  The grand finale, Kidsfest at Pembroke Lakes Mall, was broadcast live on Easy 93.1 and featured appearances, performances and demonstrations by Josh Martinez, winner of Big Brother Season 19, entertainer Preston C. Howell with Miami Squadz Dancers and the NSU Women’s Basketball team.  Select Club kids participated in the JC Penney fashion show and were surprised to learn that JC Penney, not only made a $1,200 donation to the cause, but also gave them the clothes they modeled.  Team National, a long-time supporter of BGCBC, provided 3,000 backpacks to members filled with supplies to help them get ready for school.

A special thank you to Stan Bostick of Rick Case Automotive Group, Chris Ziadie of Office Depot, Jeff Martin and Ellen Jaffe of Cox Media’s Easy 93.1 and Kelly McCoon at Pembroke Pines Mall, who were the driving force behind this event.
