Annual Club Clean Up

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County’s Annual Club Clean-up took place on Saturday, August 3rd from 9am-2pm.  We were joined by over 339 volunteers who dedicated their day to helping us prepare our Clubs for the upcoming school year.  Volunteers consisted of employees from 30 different companies located throughout Broward, as well their family and friends, and over 75 student volunteers who represented our local high schools!  The day was filled with comradery, service and fun!  Volunteers completed tasks such as deep cleaning, organizing, furniture building, painting, power washing, creating bulletin boards, and more!  We would like to thank all of our volunteers who gave their time, sweat and elbow grease to make this event a huge success.   Events such as club clean up allow us to keep our facilities in the best condition for the safety of our 12,000+ members who attend each year.

We would like to thank our many Board Members who were in attendance at several Clubs, with some of their employees, co-workers or students in tow.  Dr. Doug Laurie, who brought 58 American Heritage Students, Brent Burns, who brought 62 JM Family Enterprises co-workers, Lois Marino, who brought 54 BBX Capital co-workers, Begone Cazalis, who brought 15 Coca Cola co-workers,  John Clidas, Ty Terrell and Marc Infante.   And thank you the many companies that supported us through donations or through attendance:  Elite Academy Basketball, John Knox Village, Shriners, The Faith Center, 3M, American Heritage students, Pest Logic, NFL Players Association, Hall Society members, Untied Health Care, Synovus Bank, Crowe Horwath, Hartford Financial Group, BBX Capital, Wells Fargo, The Gap, Kiwanis Club of Davie, Hollywood Police Department and the Disney Store in Aventura.
