Lowe’s Heroes visit the Nan Knox Club
On September 26, the Nan Knox club got a very special visit from the Lowe's Heroes team. Fifteen employees from the Oakland Park store participated in a landscaping project at the club, which included weeding, removal of overgrown and dead foliage, replacing stones and mulching. Their hard work made a noticeable difference. Other items donated were a new washer and dryer, mower, grill, coolers, trash cans and cabinets for the gym area. The total cost of their donation was $2,500.
Kim Blizaire, an HR Specialist at the Oakland Park store, coordinated this event and we thank Kim for choosing the Nan Knox club.
The Lowe’s Heroes program started more than 10 years ago and has been helping local nonprofit organizations, as well as public schools by encouraging employees to volunteer in their communities. BGCBC has been fortunate to have the Lowe’s Heroes program at several of our clubs and we look forward to more visits from their generous employees.
