Publix Super Market Charities 9th Annual 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County

The Publix Super Market Charities 9th Annual 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County took place on May 11, 2017 at the beautiful Signature Grand in Davie, Florida.  Over 1,000 community & business leaders came together to celebrate outstanding women who have excelled in leadership roles in the business, community and philanthropic fields. The red carpet themed event put the spotlight on each honoree as they enjoyed the night with friends and family while raising funds for BGCBC.

A special ‘thank you’ to Victoria Duke’s Academy of Glam who provided the honorees with complimentary hair and makeup.

The committee was led by Co-Chairs Victoria Hilber, Linda Buccilli, and Paula Friona. The 2017 class of Outstanding Women included: Angela Loehr Chrysler, President/ CEO of Team National, Ali Waldman of Aleida Ors Waldman, P.A., Rachel Sapoznik, President/CEO of Sapoznik Insurance, and our top fundraiser,  Kelly Moore of G.T. McDonald Enterprises, just to name a few.

One of the many highlights of the evening was the great speech made by our Youth of the Year, Jasmine. JetBlue Airways surprised her by awarding her and her family with four (4) airfare vouchers to anywhere the airline travels. Jasmine was amazed and grateful for the kind gesture!

The evening culminated with the Honoree runway walk. Each Outstanding Woman had the opportunity to walk the runway hand-in-hand with a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Many described the experience as unforgettable; they were honored to be recognized for the impact that each has made in their fields, as well as proud that the collective contributions that they raised will help make a difference in the lives of the 12,500 youth we serve.
