T-Mobile & BGCBC Partnership

T-Mobile, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, extended the opportunity for members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) to visit four (4) South Florida locations in order to learn more about their company and brand through T-Mobile’s Youth Career Exploration Program.  Upon learning about this opportunity, President  & CEO of BGCBC, Brian Quail stated, “We would like to thank T-Mobile for this important partnership and opportunity through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  Their Youth Career Exploration Program perfectly aligns with our own local Teen Workforce Development Initiative, which helps to increase our teen’s employability through career exploration, mentorship, soft skills and technical trainings, as well as career experiences.”

The Carver Ranches Club was one of four Clubs that participated in the tours at their local store. During their visit, members experienced an exciting tour of the facility followed by demonstrations of impressive new technology. The T-Mobile team gave a presentation on the benefits of social media, how they use it for their company and gave tips on how the Club Members can best utilize different social platforms. Members participated in a 30-minute breakout session that allowed them to brainstorm, create and then present an “Unboxing” video – a show and tell about a T-Mobile product, showcasing our teens a different career path in the mobile and social media industry. Presenters also discussed the importance of engaging employees, giving back to their community and established T-Mobile as an active community partner. The event ended with each Club Member receiving a goody bag and free gifts.
