Volunteers Come Out For Annual Club Clean-Up
Families and schools weren’t the only ones getting ready for back-to-school in the month of August. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County was getting ready as well. August is when we hold our Annual Club Clean-Up in all of our Clubs throughout the county. We had 352 volunteers come out on Saturday, August 4th, to help dust, clean, organize, paint and do whatever else needed, in order to get our Clubs ready for the new school year. During our summer months, attendance in our Clubs doubles and the effects are evident at our facilities. The Club Clean-Up is a great time to give the Clubs a good cleaning and do any kind of projects needed before school starts. We would like to thank all our volunteers for their time and support.
We would like to thank Board Members that came out to help: Brent Burns, Linda Von Allmen, Swati Dholakia, Peter Woolf, Ryan Seymour and Brandon Kress. We also had groups of volunteers from companies including JM Family Enterprises, Wells Fargo, Hollywood Police Department, Broward Sherriff’s Office, 3M, Crowe Horwath, Best Buy, Jet Blue, City College, and PowerCrunch to name a few. Thank you! Our members and staff appreciated walking into a clean Club that following Monday!
