BGCBC Appoints New Board Chair For 2018-2019!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Robertson as board chair and the election of twelve new members to the BGCBC Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 FY. New board members include Julie Anderson (Sun-Sentinel), Walter Bond (Walter Bond Motivational Speaker), Michael Brown (Service America), Jeff King (Miami Marlins), Carl Lender (Hotwire Communications), Chantis Mantilla (Baptist Health), Sean McCaffrey (Florida Panthers), Lauren McFadden (Blackrock Investments), Harry Stampler (Stampler Auctions), Craig Vaughan (Castle Group), Michael Wild (WFP Law), and Giancarlo Zuniga (BB&T).
“I am pleased to welcome all of our new Board members and Jim as our new Board Chair,” said Brian Quail, President/CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to our board as we further our mission of enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens”.
BGCBC would also like to thank Wayne Gilmore for his service as Board Chair for the 2017-2018 FY. “Wayne did a fantastic job as Board Chair this past year and we are grateful for his commitment and service to the organization and our members”, said Quail. Wayne has been a board member since 2014 and will remain on the board and on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chair. Thank you for your service Wayne!

The Board of Directors is comprised of individuals from the Broward County community. It is the Board’s responsibility to provide counsel and guidance in the direction and operation of BGCBC as well as it is to raise awareness and funds for BGCBC’s services to the community.
