Florida Panthers’ Day of Impact at the Carver Ranches Club

This past August BGCBC scored a ‘hat trick’ when the Florida Panther’s staff volunteered their time to help make some much needed improvements to the Carver Ranches Boys & Girls Club in West Park.  Seventy-eight volunteers, including Panthers CEO and BGCBC Board Member, Matthew Caldwell, attended and participated in various improvement projects such as trimming and cleaning up the brush and trees around the basketball court, building new picnic tables and they even built a giant Jenga game for the kids to play!  Stanley the Panther was on hand to cheer on the team, as well as help out with some power tools!

Volunteers also worked inside, creating word murals for the senior game room.   Benches got new seat cushions and were painted with Panther colors.   The Panthers worked with Hands On Broward to pick our organization for their Day of Impact.  Hands On Broward was instrumental in picking the Club location, the projects and coordinating the volunteers and details for the project.    We are grateful to the Florida Panthers support at a Corporate Board level, through their Community Champions program and hands on in the Clubs!
