HUIZEGA CLUB GETS A NEW GYM

Scott Linsky, Shannon Wilbur, and their Planet Fitness Team worked their magic and granted the wish of the teens at the Marti Huizenga Unit by updating the Joe Sonken Charitable Trust Fitness Center and transforming it into a mini Planet Fitness gym. This update to the space relocated the judgment free environment of Planet Fitness Clubs, complete with the brand’s signature purple and yellow colors, branded equipment and inspirational messages highlighted on the wall. The ribbon cutting, attended by representatives from Planet Fitness, BGCBC and the Club teens took place on the afternoon of October 16. The teens are loving the new space and we have been maintaining max capacity in the room since it opened. 

We want to thank Planet Fitness for this incredible makeover at the Huizenga Club and their overall support of our organization.  This is the second “Judgment Free Zone” gym for our Clubs.  The other gym is located at the Leo Goodwin Teen Center in North Lauderdale.
